TRANSFORMA
OPERATORS 2.0

Operators is the culmination of a series of recent studio studies. These have been clustered together to form a stage of experimentation with the Operator at the center going about his work. Manipulating the surrounding elements, he creates acoustic and visual signatures which are spliced together to form a narrative. As images blend between artifice and the ‘reality break’, the resulting ‘film’ is juxtaposed against its very own ‘making of’.

In this live performance Transforma and sound artist Markus Hübner create a sound and video stream which treats video, original sound recordings and music in no hierarchical order.

AV-Performance / Duration: 40 min / Sound: Transforma and Markus Hübner

DELPHINE DEPRES
ARAL AV PERFORMANCE

Delphine Depres, born in France in 1982, lives and works in Geneva. Visual artist, video director and performer, she develops a research around the theatricality of the thrown image. She conceives mainly of her projects in connection with sound artists. Her images often stage not recognizable objects: changes of scale, speed, centring and light, to recompose a ” music made with images ” which investigates the dialectical relationships between aversion and attraction connected to the video medium and more widely, to the fascination exercised by the image in movement. Under the pen name of the Otter within the collective Audioactivity, she devours then regurgitates the images of the world which surrounds her in the form of mesmerizing and hypnotic baroque conglomerates during the video sets.
